Low-cost Power Meter
Krytar has developed an accurate, low cost RF & Microwave Power Meter for 100 kHz to 40 GHz. Auto-ranging linearity +/-0.05 dB. Accurate CW power measurement range is -30 to +20 dBm (useable to -39 dBm). Unit provides a DC output voltage of -3.9 to +2.0 volts which is equivalent to power input of -39 to +20 dBm (allows low cost swept scalar measurements). Optional RS232 serial port or IEEE-488 interface bus is available. From $1925. Download data sheet in pdf.

20-32 GHz GaAs MMIC Receiver for 256 QAM
This receiver, identified as XR1002, has a 12 dB gain control range, typical noise figure of 3 dB, 18 dB typical image rejection across the band and 4 dBm input third order intercept (IIP3). At high signal levels, the radio AGC system can be used to reduce the receiver gain improving the IIP3 providing for minimum distortion at modulation schemes as high as 256 QAM. The XR1002 is well suited for wireless communications applications such as millimeter-wave point-to-point radio, local multipoint distribution services (LMDS), SATCOM and VSAT applications. 36- to 40-GHz GaAs MMIC Upconverter
Mimix Broadband announces the introduction of a gallium arsenide (GaAs) monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC) up-converter, which is comprised of a pair of sub-harmonic mixers configured to form an image reject mixer. The use of the sub-harmonic mixer makes the provision of the LO easier than for fundamental mixers at these frequencies. The XU1001 has a typical small signal gain of 4 dB with a 35 dB typical LO/RF isolation. This device is well suited for wireless communications applications such as millimeter-wave point-to-point radio, local multipoint distribution services (LMDS), SATCOM and VSAT applications.
